‘Canvastic’ Version 1.1 Ships
Finally, A Tool Not A Toy!
Orlando, FL Jan 26, 2005 - FlatTop Technology, Inc. and TeachTech
Inc. announce the launch of their new product, Canvastic, an integrated
writing and publishing tool for students in grades K-8. Developed
by a former classroom teacher and computer coordinator, Canvastic
was specifically designed with classroom use in mind and provides
the right mix of fun and productivity. The program allows students
to publish in multiple formats from beginning readers to quality
research reports.
Canvastic is a student and teacher focused software tool that
can be customized for students’ age and ability level. The
interface is clean and clear with customized sets of options for
graphic and text use. The software is even complex enough for teachers
to use it for presentations.
TeachTech Inc. president, Steve Gandy, said, “As a former
technology teacher in the public schools, I was often frustrated
with the types of programs we were using for student publishing.
Either products were too simplistic or they were designed for professionals
and were too complex for elementary students to use. I have been
planning and designing this product for 10 years and have designed
it to increase student productivity and time-on-task in every classroom.
Canvastic is the next generation publishing tool for schools.”
Using Canvastic, students and teachers can write, graphically show
and present information in many different ways. Tools allow for
the creation of maps, diagrams, and graphs, as well as importing
of pictures and text. The software provides the easy integration
of technology skills into any curriculum.
Canvastic runs natively on PC and Macintosh computers. It is purchased
and downloaded from the web site www.canvastic.com. Pricing starts
at $69 for a single user license. Volume discounts are available.
